The 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies /CoD/ started at the Government house April 29.
The Guests of honor are Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of the Mongolia; Yingluck Shinawatra, the Premier of Thailand; Alfio Piva Mesen, the First Vice President of Costa Rica; H.E. Mr. Namadi Sambo, the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the UN Under-Secretary-General and Director-General of the UN Office at Geneva; Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union; Dr. Tawakkol Karman, the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate from Yemen; Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Chairperson and General Secretary of National League for Democracy of Myanmar; Maria Leissner, the Secretary-General of the Community of Democracies.
The conference has been chaired by L.Bold, the Minister Foreign affairs, after this the leader of the country took the floor. He expressed a gratitude to all those who accepted his invitation and have come to the grand measure.
He was followed by Ms Yingluck Shinawatra, the Premier of Thailand, by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and others.
